ENT CME is pleased to be hosting UBC Otolaryngology Grand Rounds, which will air on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 AM PST. This week's talk will be given by Dr. Harman, a former UBC Resident who completed a Head & Neck Oncology Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Parhar will give the first lecture of our Head & Neck Speaker Series. This event is eligible for Section 1 CME credits.
"Evaluation of a Neck Mass in Adults"
- To discuss the differential diagnosis of a neck mass in an adult and to review the specific historical features that can help make a diagnosis.
- To discuss the initial management of an adult patient with a new neck mass including: empiric antibiotic therapy, diagnostic imaging, physical examination including in-office nasopharyngoscopy, operative endoscopy and histopathologic evaluation through biopsy.
- To discuss the evolving epidemiology of head and neck cancer with specific attention to human papillomavirus oncogenicity in British Columbia.
