About the Event
ENT CME is pleased to be hosting UBC Otolaryngology Grand Rounds, which will air on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 AM PST. This week's talk will be from Dr. Jon Dautremont. He will be presenting "A Current Look at the Cognitive
Implications of Hearing Loss". This is an non-accredited CME activity and is eligible for Section 2 credits.
OBJECTIVES
1. Describe the mechanisms of age related hearing loss & potential shared pathophysiology with cognitive decline & dementia.
2. Understand the current evidence for a causal link between hearing loss & cognitive decline.
3. Understand the concept of modifiable risk & the benefits that hearing intervention may provide in this regard.
4. Develop an evidence-based approach to counselling patients on hearing loss interventions & their future cognitive risk.
